2011 Canon Collins Educational Trust Scholarship Phd Requirements


All scholarships Phd Requirements are for postgraduate study in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) for one academic year. Full scholarships, Phd Requirements including maintenance and tuition fees, or partial grants are provided for taught Masters programmes. Double funding (i.e. receipt of full scholarships from both Canon Collins Trust and any other organisation) is not allowed. We do not fund undergraduate studies.
Applications for all subject areas will be considered. Phd Requirements Applicants must be able to demonstrate the impact that gaining the qualification will have on their community, country or the region.

Scholarships Phd Requirements will only be awarded on confirmation that applicants have been offered a place at a UK university. At the time of applying for a scholarship applicants are expected to apply independently to the universities of their choice.
Applicants must
• be nationals of or have refugee status in one of the following countries:
Angola – Botswana – Lesotho – Malawi – Mozambique – Namibia – South Africa – Swaziland – Zambia – Zimbabwe
•have at least two years professional work experience before applying for this scholarship. Please note that part time work during university does not count towards this requirement. Applicants without this will not be considered.
The past achievements of the applicant, present commitment to further study, as well as their future plans will be assessed in relation to how that will contribute to the development of southern Africa. Applicants for all schemes within the 2011/12 UK Scholarship Phd Requirements Programme will be assessed on the basis of the information that they supply on their application form against the criteria outlined.
